At Hieroglyphs.net, we believe that privacy is a basic right and we are committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to this site. The policy you are reading outlines our current thoughts and practices related to this issue.

In a nutshell, no information we may have regarding specific visitors to our site will be shared with anyone outside our organization except with their consent or when required by law. This means no spam, and no sale or other exchange of email addresses, real addresses, or phone numbers of our customers.

What kind of information do we collect?

Right now, we collect generic data relating to how users surf through our site. This includes information like your domain name (for example, earthlink.net, aol.com), the name of the web page from which you entered our site, which of our pages you visit, how long you spend on each page, and how you use the various interactive tools we provide. This information allows us to better understand how our visitors use our site and how we can improve it. None of this information is collected or stored on a personal (customer-specific) level. Also, using just the information available to us as you surf our site, we have no way of finding out your email address or anything else about you.

What about the personal information you do give us?

Some of the services we now offer or are thinking about offering may require registration of some sort. Right now, we request your email address when you send us comments, and from time to time, we may survey our readers so that we can form a better idea of who uses our site and why. None of this information will be sold or traded.

What about cookies?

Cookies are small files that store certain small pieces of information. These can help a website track the actions of a specific user (like keeping track of the contents of a shopping cart in an online store). Right now, we don't use any cookies. If we ever do, their use will be posted here, along with why and how they are being used.
